1 Chronicles 29:10 – Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.
I was reading 1 Chronicles 29 today and verses 10-15 caught my attention and seemed to stand out.
I was thinking how thankful King David was and how expressive he was with his thanksgiving. This part of scripture is a commentary about a real person that lived over 3,000 years ago. He is a real King that had a kingdom in Israel and was full of excitement and thankfullness towards His God!
I wonder if I say thank you to The Lord enough? Do I say thank you with enthusiasm and a heart that is overflowing with gratefullness for everything Jesus has done for us individually and corporately as a body of believers?
Look at what Psalm 100 says:
Psalms 100:1-5 – Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
God wants to hear from us. He loves us and desires fellowship with us. He’s our father!
Take a minute and put your life on pause and say thank you to The Lord. You’ll be glad you did and God in turn will bless you for your act of kindness towards Him, THE ONE who saved you by His sacrifice of love through the shedding of His blood on the cross – on your behalf. Amen…
