Have You Said Thank You Recently?

fullsizerender1 Chronicles 29:10 – Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

I was reading 1 Chronicles 29 today and verses 10-15 caught my attention and seemed to stand out.

I was thinking how thankful King David was and how expressive he was with his thanksgiving. This part of scripture is a commentary about a real person that lived over 3,000 years ago. He is a real King that had a kingdom in Israel and was full of excitement and thankfullness towards His God!

I just wanted to let you know that I’m starting a YouTube mini-video study where I share with you what the Lord has taught me over the last 39 years.

These videos range from 5-15 mins in length and we cover all subjects that are in the Bible. As well I will provide studies on Bible Prophecy helping you to connect the dots between the Bible and our headlines.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me a few months ago and asked me to add to my blog “sound doctrine” to bring more balance to our information on our blog. Not surprising that the Holy Spirit guided us this way when you consider that the Bible is about 70% sound doctrine  and 30% prophecy. Therefore we thought that mini-studies would be a great addition to our blog. We have also added Author Amanda Beth as a co-author who really provides us with amazing articles/daily devotionals that are based on doctrine. Her insights have blessed our socks off!

In closing I wanted to share this page on my blog where you can view our studies. The catalog is small right now because we just got this started but it will grow.

The Hosea 6 Prophecy

HoseaThere is a a common train of thought that most of the Church Fathers have discussed and believed in. It is the "one" day equals a "thousand" year theory.

It goes something like this and it is based on 2 Peter 3:8 and Psalm 90:4 . One of God's days is a passing of 1,000 of earth's years. Another way to look at it is like this, because God lives outside of time we would have to live 1,000 earth years to have gone through a 24 hour cycle in God's realm or one of His days. It's an amazing thought when you think about.

This may be why God can be so patient with us. What may seem like a long time to you and me is but seconds to the Lord.

So Hosea 6:1-2 says this; "Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight."

The thought here plays out like this. Israel was banished from the land in 70 A.D. just like Yeshua our Messiah said would happen in Matthew 24. The Jews were without a homeland for just about  2,000 years. In God's time reference this would have been only two heavenly days. The third day would then represent a glorious day, the millennium reign of Messiah on earth in Jerusalem. The third day is the millennium because the Jews, at that time, will be the light of the world during that era.

Let's not forget this scripture:

Zechariah 8:23; "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."

So here we have the code the Holy Spirit has given to us so we would know what time it is on the prophetic time table. The second day of "Raising us up" took place in 1948. This is when the Jews were returned to their land of promise. In 1948 God raised up His people! We are now waiting for the  third day  to take place. But there are events that must proceed this wonderful day first.

Here's a small list of the obvious events we are waiting for:

  1. Rapture of believers, The Bride of Christ
  2. The revealing of The Antichrist
  3. The confirmation of the peace contract between Israel and the Arabs that the Antichrist confirms
  4. The Tribulation period
  5. The Mark of The Beast on every human on earth
  6. The 144,000 Jewish Evangelists to be sealed by God
  7. The judgement of God on the world
  8. The return of Yeshua our Messiah to the Mount of Olives
  9. The Millennium starts the Kingdom of God on earth through Christ!

Where not done yet. There's more good news.

Continuing on this theme of "one day" equals a "thousand years" we need to bring the focus on a few more prophetic ideas and concepts.

Let's take a look at Mark 9:1-8:

And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power."  Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them. And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"– because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid. And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!" Suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no one anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.

In keeping with the theory stated above many believe that God created the earth in six of His days or six thousand years and on the seventh day or the seven thousandth year He rested. From Adam to Christ's birth, four thousand years passed and from Christ to now, we are just about at the two thousand year mark. This puts us at the end of the six thousand year period and we are just about ready to embark on the seventh day of rest or a rest for one thousand years, the millennium of Christ.

Lets stay with this theme for a bit more… I have a question to ask at this point. Why did the Lord wait until after the sixth day to take Peter, James and John to the mount to see Him in His glory? I believe the Lord was pointing us to something that will shed light on this theory we have been discussing. He knew that our generation would realize that we are at the end of the six thousand year period and He wanted us to know how close our generation would be to His return and how close we are to the final day (1,000 years) of rest is. The lord could have just as easily went to the mount on the 3rd or 4th day, why the 6th? There are no accidents with God and everything has a purpose. Yeshua also knew only the wise, those who were filled with the Holy Spirit would understand what He was saying through this magnificent event and the purposeful timing of it! Praise The Lord that He kept these things from the learned and has revealed it to us.

The Lord revealed His glory to Peter, James and John on the sixth day because He wanted them and all of us to know that His return in glory and magesty would occur at the end of the sixth day (6,000 years), the beginning of the seventh day or the final one-thousandth year of history! Amazing isn't it that not only does the Lord speak to us in Word, but also in demonstration and imagery through His Word.

Matthew 13:34-35:
All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret  from the foundation of the world."

So there you have it the mystery of the one day equals a thousand years theory explained.

Until next time God willing…

Keep looking up because Messiah's return is at the door!

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. ~1Thessalonians 5:1-6

A 1,000 Year Old Prophecy Fulfilled: Psalm 22

Was the crucifixion of Jesus described in detail 1,000 years before it happened?

Psalm 22 is a remarkable scripture in that it details in amazing accuracy what the suffering Messiah went through for the world. It's as though God wanted to give us a detailed look into how much His Son suffered.

Watch this video by Dr. David Reagan and I'm sure
you'll agree, this is an amazing prophecy…

Passover & The Resurrection

April10thEvery year I delve into this subject and sometimes it upsets some Christians. Please keep in mind that this year my goal is to highlight the awesome fulfillment of the following Jewish Celebrations by our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

Today the Christian church as a whole has lost, in most cases, it's awareness of it's Jewish roots. After all, most of the early believers were Jews and they practiced and observed the Jewish holidays. We need to also keep in mind, just because a Jew, like me, asks Yeshua into their lives, doesn't mean they stop being Jewish.

We serve the greatest Jew that ever lived and is alive to this day!

Today we will highlight the meaning of what Yeshua accomplished:

  1. Exodus 12:3-6; April 10 the day the lamb without blemish was to be brought into the home of all Jewish households.
  2. The Passover (Day of Preperation).
  3. Feast of Unleavened Bread
  4. The Feast of First Fruits

The image that I included above is a type of timeline of the progression of events we will discuss in this report.

We begin our journey with the report I wrote a few days ago about the Passover Lamb. On April 10th according to Exodus 12:3-6 all Jewish households were to pick choose a lamb without blemish and observe the lamb and interact with it for four days or until April 14th.

Palm Sunday was on April 10th when the Lord fulfilled the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9…

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey." Our Lord presented Himself as the Lamb of God, faultless, sinless and without blemishes, the perfect sacrifice. He went to the temple where the people could handle Him as it were, watch Him and observe Him as the perfect Lamb of God. This was the first Palm Sunday.

Remember, this happened on April 10th. Also remember and think back to the perfect lamb that all Jewish households cared for in their homes for four days. The Lord presented Himself to the Jews, His people, for four days and they observed His sinless nature, His wisdom and the love He had for all of them while ministering to their needs and preaching and teaching in the temple.

Now we move to The Day of Preperation (The Passover) on April 14th. Probably from midnight until 6am on Thursday our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ our Messiah, went through six trials including a scouraging that would have killed any man. Part of His preperation to become the ultimate sacrifice for all the world was conducted by being falsley accussed and scourged and finally He is nailed to the cross at 9am, His blood is shed at the foot of the cross and He gives up His spirit at 3pm. At that exact time the Passover Lamb was being killed for the Passover meal that would happen at 6pm. Jesus (Yeshua) now fulfills the requirement of the Law by shedding His blood and making it possible for sin and death to passover us who would put our faith in Him. The Passover Lamb of God pays the price for the entire world and all to come in the future!

All things happened just as He determined according to the Law. Also at 3pm after the Lord dies He descends into the heart of the earth according to scripture and preached The Acceptable Day of The Lord to those who were waiting for Him.
[ The Sign of Jonah The Prophet – Matthew 12:40 ]

Now we move to the Feast of Unleavened Bread on April 15th. This was a feast that lasted seven days and on the first day you could do no work or labor. This is one reason why the women did not go to the Lord's tomb and finish burial preparations. This feast called for all leaven, which represented sin, to be removed from ones home. Bread represents sustanence, life giving food. Our Lord is the Bread of Life that had no sin within Him! He gives us life. Jesus fulfills this feast week in that, just as the Children of Israel had to flee Egypt in a hurry and therefore made bread without leaven, so the Lord's body (The Bread of Life) had to be put into the tomb in a hurry because Passover was almost upon them. Jesus is the Bread of Life, His body was broken for us.

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
[ Communion is institudied 1 Corinthians 11:24 ]

Now we move to the Sabbath on April 16th. The Lord is now our Sabbath rest for the work of redemption He provided for all of us. He is resting in the heart of the earth ministering to all the saints there and we now have an Eternal Rest provided to us through the work He completed for us on that tree.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."  [ Fulfills Matthew 11:28-30 ]

The Jews of His day would have understood what He was saying to them because they understood what the Sabbath meant. The Sabbath rest was part of their everyday lives.

Now we move to The Feast of First Fruits on April 17th. Our Lord very early Sunday morning, the beginning of the work week, becomes the "First Fruits" of those to be raised from the dead incorruptible and to immortality! The Lord reveals Himself to the two women who loved Him, Mary Magdalene and Mary mother of James and Joses. Thus the Lord fulfills the Feast of First Fruits!

What are the odds that anyone person could fulfill every jot and tittle of the Law and all the Feasts to the tiniest details? They are astronomical! Amazing how the Lord ordered and controlled every event and all things happened just as He wanted it to.

Happy Resurrection Day indeed…

Personal Note: Sometimes people assume I am attempting to convince Christians to practice Judaism and observe the Jewish traditions and feast days. I want to be clear, I am not suggesting this at all. What I do hope happens is that Christians can take the information and use it as a source of encouragement to enrich their faith in seeing God's message to us in both Old Testaments and New. I do not want to see anyone try to fulfill the law or become legalistic. I hope this helps you to better understand my intentions and goals.

Keep looking up because Messiah's return is at the door!
