It’s Time to Contend For The Faith

Today’s Bible Insight – Based on Jude 1:3-4

“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

A Modern Day Miracle

moderndaymiracle

Based on Genesis 18:23-33

Heads up – correction: I mentioned King Cyrus was the King that loved Daniel. I should have said King Darius in Daniel 6.

The Lord not only put Trump and Pence in office, but He has begun to destroy the legacy of a president that demonstrated his destain towards God, Country, Christians and Jews. His name is Barrack Obama.

The Christian community was faced with a very challenging election this year. Do we vote for someone who was braggadocio’s, brash and whose ego barely could fit through a doorway? On the other hand, do we vote for an individual who has established an attitude of lying, deceit, theft and someone who shares national top-secrets with those that do not have security clearance? What a position all of us were thrown into this election cycle.

Is it Time to Freak Out?

freakoutIs it Time to Freak Out? No… Never!

For believers in Jesus Christ (Yeshua) it is never time to freak out. Why you ask. Because we serve a God that is BIGGER than the universe and He holds us in the center of His hand (John 10:28).

Bible Reading Today: John 10; John 14; Psalm 100; Luke 21 and Proverbs 3:5-8.

Back in the year 2000 there was only a couple of us sharing prophecy updates or connecting the headlines with what the Bible had to say about current events of that day. Of course we were pioneers in online prophecy and getting the word out. Over the last 6 years there has been an explosion of voices online now that are warning people. Some are Biblical in their presentation, others are not and these tend to peddle fear, sensationalism and speculation. There are so many voices out there I have considered leaving the space because I don’t want to add to the chatter. But every time I consider backing away someone contacts me or comments that their grateful I’m there providing a unique perspective, serving them and The Lord.

Have You Said Thank You Recently?

fullsizerender1 Chronicles 29:10 – Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.

I was reading 1 Chronicles 29 today and verses 10-15 caught my attention and seemed to stand out.

I was thinking how thankful King David was and how expressive he was with his thanksgiving. This part of scripture is a commentary about a real person that lived over 3,000 years ago. He is a real King that had a kingdom in Israel and was full of excitement and thankfullness towards His God!

Seek The Lord…

seekGod

Today’s Bible Insight
“Seek The Lord” | September 1, 2016

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Bro Stef Thoughts:

The word in this scripture that stands out to me is”rewarder.” The original word used is “renumerator.” The meaning is to calculate, add up, keep track of and giving rewards in keeping with his values. This word in Greek, misthapodotés, is only used in the Bible once and its in this scripture! We can thus make the assumption that God wants us to think this through very carefully.

There seems to be two prerequisites that must be observed for God to reward us:
1. Believe He is.
2. Seek Him with diligence.
